William Louis Petersen was born on February 21, 1953 in Evanston Illinois. He attended Bishop Kelly
High School in Boise Idaho, where he still wears his highschool jeresy today.
In 1974, William, who likes to be called Billy, married his first wife, Joanne Brady, who then a year
later gave birth to their daughter, Maite. A few years later, in 1981, the marriage ended in a divorce.
Billy has appeared in several movies, since. Like the hit movie, "To Live and Die in L.A." and "Manhunter."
In 2000, he reprised his role as an investigator and joined the hit series, 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' as Gil
Grissom.
After dating several years with a high-school biology teacher, in 2002, he asked Gina Circone, to marry
him. The couple wed in June 2003, where they still are married today.
